I haven't noticed much difference, other than the pollution is much worse and there seems to be more people in the city (could that be possible?!) I never expected to be have the opportunity to live here a 2nd time (same company, different job now).
And bringing my dog was a must! Although it cost an arm and a leg to ship her over, it's been worth it. |

i've never been, but i'm fascinated by it...i think i have a fetish for the history of kowloon city
 ...it's someplace that I hope to visit, don't know about living there...but definitely a visit... |

My last visit was just before the change over. the HMS Tabar was still where we tied up the liberty boats. I was US Navy for 17 years, took a Clinton early retirement.

The Nimitz was in Victoria harbor for 4 days, they left this morning. Was quite a big deal since I think it was 2005 when China last allowed a US carrier to dock. I was going to try and get a tour but my son has been sick the past few days. Was great to see 5,000+ US servicemen/women in town. I am speaking from a military family background ... never been in the service but 4 generations of the males in my family have. :-)

Yes, love dogs! In fact, I was worried about bringing my dog to HK but have been surprised at how many dog owners there are here (although you don't see many BIG dogs).

I have a slightly large dog, he would not fit to well on a plane
But I would not trade him off. |
